The division bench, comprising of Chief Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Ashok Kinagi, was hearing Anivar A. Aravind’s petition which is seeking a permanent order against the use of the contact tracing app.

While it may no longer be mandatory to use Aarogya Setu for rail and air travel, Anivar Aravind’s battle in Karnataka High Court is not yet over.

The division bench, constituting Chief Justice Abhay Oka and Justice E.S. Indiresh, was hearing a PIL filed by Anivar Aravind, a public interest technologist and part of SFLC.in’s advisory board, that argued against mandating Aarogya Setu for rail and air travel.
